About White ink
White Ink is a small design studio located in Boulder,
Colorado, but services clients nationwide. Our team is headed up by creative
director - Jennifer White, and consists of a fun group of dedicated professionals.
We work hard, and love our jobs because design is fun!
Our Profiles
Jennifer White - Creative Director/Owner
Jen created White Ink (formerly White Web Works) soon after receiving her
undergraduate degree (BFA) in photography from the Rhode
Island School of Design (RISD) in 2001. While there she participated
in the European
Honors Program a year-long independent study in Rome Italy. Her formative
years were spent at
Northfield Mount
Hermon preparatory school in western Massachusetts and her
home town outside Burlington, Vermont. When Jen is not busy working on your
projects, she can be found photographing around the world, enjoying colorado's
beautiful landscape, or cooking a yummy meal.
Martin Fletcher - PHP/My SQL Developer
Before becoming White Ink's lead developer, Martin worked as an IT professional
in networking, technical support, web development and information security.
In addition to his university training in computer science, Martin keeps
up-to-date with the latest computer languages and technologies through courses,
seminars and certifications.
Martin—who is fluent in both English and Spanish--lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In his free time, he practices martial arts, plays paddle (a game similar
to tennis) and enjoys spending time with his girlfriend.
Jamie Kerns - Flash Developer
Jamie is currently attending the University
of San Diego where he is studying
Computer Science with an emphasis in Mathematics and Business Administration.
Jamie specializes in creating dynamic Macromedia Flash content and animation.
Before moving to San Diego, Jamie basked in the rainy ambiance of Oregon
while exploring the free-lance Flash world. In his spare time, Jamie enjoys
a relaxing trip to the beach and spending time with friends.
Kara Szostek - XHTML/CSS Developer
Kara studied theatre and computer science at Barat College (Lake Forest,
IL) and DePaul University (Chicago, IL) before moving to Pensacola, Florida,
where she works as a web designer/developer specializing in cross-browser
compatibility, web accessibility, and CSS development. When she manages to
pry herself away from her computer, Kara enjoys snuggling her kittens and
reading books with interesting cover art.
